At the heart of the Bastrop County Emergency Food Pantry and Support Center over that period is a strongly held commitment to alleviate hunger with emergency food, to address the underlying factors that create food insecurity and to provide a helping hand to individuals and families struggling toward self-sufficiency.
While all Food Pantry services are fundamentally built around the three challenges, 30 years of service have consistently shown how complex and diverse the causes of food emergencies are. No one solution fits all. And that reality has given rise to service offerings shaped around different kinds of client needs.
