United Way--Organization dedicated to helping people through a crisis.
City of Bastrop - City of Smithville - City of Elgin -- Find information on these
cities: government, area attractions and businesses.
Bastrop ISD - Smithville ISD - Elgin ISD -- School districts in the county
providing information, calendars and other information for students and their
parents.
Family Crisis Center --Aid for families in crisis.  Generally abused wives and
children seeking relief, but also any other circumstance in which a person,
child(ren) or family requires immediate relief.
Capital Area Food Bank Food Stamp Education and Outreach --This program
educates potential Food Stamp recipients of the application process and assists
eligible individuals and families in applying for Food Stamps.
Texas Workforce Commission -- Statewide government organization
dedicated to help you obtain work through trainings and databased jobs. Fill
out an application, search for jobs or be notified of jobs by email.
Catholic Charities of Austin-- Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing
Assistance provides financial, relocation and stabilization services. Qualified
applicants can get assistance with rent, utilities and deposits for those at risk of
losing their homes and search and placement, legal services and credit repair
for those without.
Your Bastrop Food Pantry has received a grant to provide this service. If you're
having trouble holding onto or finding a home for your family, contact us to get

The Mission of the Bastrop County Emergency Food Pantry & Support
Center is to serve all people in Bastrop County with hunger-related
needs and support services which may include providing emergency
food, information, referral counseling and support services for families
and the elderly.
At a time when charitable giving is crucial for those in need, your
generosity is greatly appreciated and goes to help those with the very
basic need of food. In addition to the elderly struggling against rising
prices on fixed incomes are the increasing numbers of families of
