Bastrop County Emergency Food Pantry & Support Center
The Mission of the Bastrop County Emergency Food Pantry & Support
Center is to serve all people in Bastrop County with hunger-related
needs and support services which may include providing emergency
food, information, referral counseling and support services for families
and the elderly.
At a time when charitable giving is crucial for those in need, your
generosity is greatly appreciated and goes to help those with the very
basic need of food. In addition to the elderly struggling against rising
prices on fixed incomes are the increasing numbers of families of
displaced workers.  Please consider giving generously. See additional
ways to support us on our help page.

participates in the Empty Bowl Project works with their community to create their own event.
Bastrop’s Empty Bowl Project is a partnership between the Bastrop County Emergency Food
Pantry & Support Center (BCEFP), Bastrop Independent School District (BISD), local restaurants,
caterers, and artists.  Proceeds from this popular and heartwarming event support Bastrop
County Emergency Food Pantry and it’s support services.
Bastrop County Emergency Food Pantry relies on
donations and support of the community to
effectively operate its many services.  Cash
donations have allowed the Food Pantry to
purchase healthy, nutritious foods for our clients
at a fraction of the cost of foods purchased at local
grocery stores. One dollar buys almost eight pounds
of food at the Capital Area Food Bank.  In the past
Each February the BCEFP hosts the
Empty Bowl Project. “Empty Bowl
Project”  is a grassroots movement
sponsored by food banks, artists, local &
corporate businesses throughout the
United States to raise money and
awareness in an effort to end hunger
and food insecurity.  Each group that
our annual gala was fundamental in raising money for the Food Pantry’s daily operations, in an
effort to reduce expenses and devote more resources directly to our mission we have
developed the "Ask! Campaign".

HOLIDAY APPEAL CAMPAIGN
Holidays are especially difficult for families with meager or non-existent means of support.
Funds raised provide substantial quantities of food to help several families through the
holidays and throughout the year. We now offer the ability to provide a tax free charitable
donation to the Bastrop County Emergency Food Pantry and Support Center as a gift  in honor
of someone dear to you. We will send them a thank you card acknowledging the gift in their
honor from you. You may donate, securely, anytime into our PayPal account using a major
credit card or your own PayPal account. Their card will arrive during the holiday season for
them to display along with their other decorations. They will enjoy the honor that your gift
will go a long way in alleviating food insecurity for a number of families during the holidays.
